Welcome

Welcome to my photoblog. I try to keep it updated daily with a new photo from either my personal or professional life. It is not intended to be taken as my professional portfolio (please visit the main website for that), but instead it is more of an informal and fun way for me to share some of my personality and creativity with you. Many of the photos on my blog are available for purchase as fine art prints, please visit the main website and/or contact me if you are interested. Enjoy!

  1. That's pretty good man. I like the lighting.

I was trying this too this weekend. Was trying to find some way of making a "full on sun in the face" shot work. Failed for like 3 hours. But I learned allot :)

  2. Thanks for your comment Aaron. I have added a quick diagram of the setup for this shot to the post. At first I was trying out just using the one key light (camera left with umbrella) but found that those shots lacked a bit of depth and definition on the left side of my face, so I added the rim/hair lighting flash in the back (camera right). The fun part in all of this was trying to get the focus spot exactly where I wanted it, while being in front of the camera and using a wired remote!

Please feel free to critique the work, tell me what you like or dont like about it. How does it make you feel? Does it draw you into the shot, or does it not interest you at all? Be as descriptive as possible, or just leave a little note, it's up to you!
